Mercedes-Benz EQC 2023: Prices, Photos, Design, Power reserve

The electric crossover Mercedes-Benz EQC 2023 is the first fully electric car of the German concern, created from scratch. Mercedes-Benz EQC has many amazing technical and design solutions, because according to the Mercedes concept, EQC embodies the idea of progressive luxury.

Exterior of the electric crossover 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQC

Due to its proportions, the EQC is classified as a crossover. At the same time, the slightly sloping roof and the lowered glass of the rear doors visually make the electric car a cross between an SUV and an off-road coupe.

A stunning design feature is the large black panel covering the headlights and grille. On the upper edge, it borders on an optical fiber that acts as daytime running lights, creating an almost continuous horizontal illumination at night. The inner housing of the MULTIBEAM LED headlights is glossy black. Similar contrasting color shades indicate that the model belongs to the new EQ family.

Interior electric crossover 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQC

The exclusive interior of the EQC looks quite avant-garde, which in principle is justified given the nature of the car and its novelty. One of the most striking elements of the interior design is the ribbed edge of the dashboard. The dashboard itself is designed as a driver-oriented cockpit, with a huge multimedia complex that occupies the entire wide digital panel.

Specifications of 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQC

The Mercedes EQC 400 4MATIC has a completely new drive system with electric motors located on each axis. This arrangement provides the crossover with all-wheel drive and excellent handling.

To reduce energy consumption and increase dynamics, electric transmissions are configured differently: the front electric motor is optimized for best efficiency, and the rear is responsible for the dynamics. Together, they generate 300 kW (408 hp) and a maximum torque of 765 N • m.

Mercedes-Benz EQC is equipped with a battery capacity of 80 kW • h, which will provide a range of up to 450 km according to the NEDC cycle. This means that in reality the supply will be more modest and will be about 400 km. According to the manufacturer, the dynamics of acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h Mercedes-Benz EQC will be 5.1 seconds.

EQC offers the driver 5 different driving modes, each of which has different characteristics: COMFORT, ECO, MAX RANGE, SPORT and an individually adaptable program. In more economical driving modes, the accelerator pedal plays an important role, which encourages the driver to save energy. The driver can also influence the level of recovery using paddle shifters.

The ECO Assist system provides the driver with comprehensive support, telling him when it is best to perform certain manipulations in order to maximize the battery life. For this, the electric vehicle processes navigation data, recognizes road signs, and uses information from intelligent security assistants (radars and cameras).

Charging an electric car 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQC

As standard, the EQC is equipped with an integrated 7.4 kW water-cooled charger, making it suitable for charging AC power at home or at public charging stations.

In addition, Mercedes-Benz Wallbox, which charges an electric car three times faster than a household outlet, is offered for electric cars.

And of course, the electric car is available with fast DC charging: CCS Combo in Europe and the USA, CHAdeMO in Japan or GB / T in China. EQC can be charged with a maximum power of up to 110 kW at the corresponding charging station, in about 40 minutes the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent.

The EQC is equipped with the innovative MBUX multimedia system – the Mercedes-Benz User Experience, on the display of which many special functions for the electric car are grouped, such as displaying the power reserve, charge status and energy flow. Driving modes, charging power, its start time can be set and adjusted via MBUX.

Thanks to the excellent recognition of human speech, EQC can be controlled using voice commands.

Among the most important new EQC features planned for release on the market are:

A preliminary launch of climate control, which ensures that the desired temperature has already been created in the car before leaving. It can be programmed directly through MBUX or through a mobile application. An advanced system with a heat pump and an electric heater accelerates the creation of proper climatic conditions in the cabin.
Optimized navigation, which always calculates the formation of the fastest route, taking into account the shortest charging time. Route planning automatically responds to changes in driving dynamics or driving patterns. Thanks to optimized EQ navigation, Mercedes-Benz customers can easily find charging stations.
Mercedes-Benz EQC Safety
The EQC 400 4MATIC is equipped with the latest generation of driver assistance systems. The Driving Assistance package includes all new features, among which it is worth noting the intelligent speed control and the Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC system that reduces speed to 100 km / h as a precaution.

The EQC 400 4MATIC also meets the highest requirements for passive safety. The design of the EQC has been adapted to the specific requirements of the electrical components and battery, and is configured to achieve the highest level of safety.

The battery of the electric vehicle has reliable mechanical protection. The battery itself is located under the car floor and is surrounded by a frame that can absorb vibration. Between the frame and the battery are installed deformation elements, which are the main impact in the event of a strong side impact. The battery guard at the front of the battery helps prevent damage to the battery in the event of a direct collision.

The high-voltage electric vehicle system automatically shuts off depending on the severity of the accident. There is the possibility of deactivating the operation of the high-voltage system manually.
