The power plant of the Renault Master Z.E.
Renault’s electric van was created by reintegrating the existing electric powertrain components of the ZE series into the body of a regular Renault Master. The engine is inherited from Renault ZOE and has a torque of 225 Nm, while developing a top speed of 115 km / h. All torque is available immediately, even when the body is fully loaded. Combined with the continuously variable transmission, the powertrain makes the Renault Master ZE van ideal for urban courier and logistics applications.
The van battery capacity is 33 kWh and provides a range of about 200 km according to the NEDC standard, the fastest charging time before the battery is restored to full capacity is 6 hours from a 7.4 kW charger.
The practicality of operating Renault Master Z.E.
Electric van Renault Master Z.E. available in three body versions: short L1, medium L2 and long L3 wheelbase. There are also three modifications with different roof heights: L1H1, L2H2, L3H2. The total volume of cargo space varies from 8 cubic meters. in the smallest version up to 22 cubic meters. in the maximum version L3H2.
Although the batteries are installed under the body of the van, it maintains a low loading height. The rear doors open 270 degrees, which makes the van more practical, making it easier to access the cargo compartment.
The electric vehicle has the lightest chassis in the segment, which means that even with the increased gross weight due to the heavy battery, the Renault Master Z.E. remains between 1,000 and 1,400 kg depending on wheelbase and roof height.
